Larry's Notes:

Most of the time it’s a mystery, waking in the morning and riding on emotion, almost like free falling in the clear blue sky.  Then along comes a sound and a gust of wind, causing the tree branches to slap restlessly against the aluminum gutter outside my window while the call of the turtle dove creates a rhythm that grabs and carries me to the next sound, to the next tune.

Full steam ahead and pedal to the metal, stopping short and turning to the east, side-stepping negative thought and lost causes while looking ahead with a hand on the past and tapping into signals, laughing and playing all the way home.

Albert Ayler, John Coltrane and the ghosts of jazz past, they’re the ones who set the stage and held open the door and we followed suit, tipping our hats and drifting inside, carrying with us the only thing we have…intention.

Art stripped down to the bare essentials, rustic and free, building and never disappearing.  From within this mystery comes the answers we seek, whatever they may be.  Energy from every direction, no matter where we go or what we do, we break it down to its simplest form, over and over again until all that stands is what is left…the intention.  Voices from the past, calling everyday and leading us into the future.  The Jades of Asia and the intention that awaits us.  Don’t like it, go home.
